About Upward Basketball

At Westside, Upward Basketball is hands-down our most popular sport. This is a league where young basketball players can create their own athletic journeys and begin developing into total athletes (mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially).

Who can play?

This is for children currently in Kindergarten (age 5+) through 8th grade.

How much does it cost?

Early Registration

$140 per player (August 31st - September 20th, 2026)

Regular Registration

$160 per player (September 21st - October 22nd, 2026)

When does the season take place?

The season will take place during the months of November - February. Practices will begin the week of November 9th, 2026. Practice nights will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.* The majority of games will take place on Saturdays. There will be a few games on Friday nights for middle school participants.

Note: Each child will practice on one of the above nights. The day and time will be the same throughout the entire season.

After registration, every child need to attend one of the evaluations below. All middle school boys & girls should attend the evaluation on Saturday, Oct.17.

• Saturday, Oct.3 between 9:00-11:00AM (For Any Age)
• Saturday, Oct.17 between 9:00-11:00AM (Middle School Boys & Girls ONLY)
• Sunday, Oct.18 between 1:30-3:30PM (For Any Age)

All evaluations will take place in the Family Life Center at Westside Baptist Church.

Where does everything happen?

All games and practices will take place at Westside Baptist Church.
